Sweet Sketch Wednesday
and
New Design Team Members

Today we are pleased to announce and welcome our New Design Team members.

As I was going though the pictures, I realized we have had several Design Team members come and go since I started this blog.  They have all been great to work with and are missed when they leave.

We would like to thank all of those who applied this time for a DT position. There were so many wonderful entries which made it very hard to choose just three new members.  If you were not chosen this time, please do not feel discouraged. We loved all of your work.  And, please feel free to apply on our next DT Call.  We wish we had room for all of you to join.

Jeannie has been a long time Design Team member and has graciously accepted the call to be our Sweet Sketch Wednesday Coordinator working with Judi. This is a big job and I appreciate their efforts in keeping things organized at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We have others working behind the scenes on a weekly basis and appreciate our Design Team so much.

Also a big thanks goes out to my whole team as we couldn't run this blog without all of you.

Now to let you know a little more about Jeannie
and to learn who our NEW Design Team members are!

SSW Coordinator

Hello - I am Jeannie Thomas and I live in Phoenix, Arizona which means it's hot, hot, and then more hot since it is pretty much the desert!  I moved here almost 5 years ago but I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I'm the youngest of 4, and yes I love my Green Bay Packers!  The love of my life's name is Neal and although I never had any children of my own,  I'm fortunate to have 3 semi-stepchildren that I get to have fun with every other weekend. I am an Administrative Professional at a Civil Engineering company and Neal is a high school teacher of all things computer related. I started out scrapbooking, but decided a smaller scale was much more to my liking in cardmaking and now I am completely obsessed with it. Other than that I love to try anything crafty, I like to read, cook, crochet, and watch really bad reality tv!

Our Three New Design Team Members are:

Hi - My name is Sally Dube. I love the Lord and am grateful for each new day!! I am happily married to my husband Joe of 33 years =), have 2 (now 3) wonderful children Laura 27 and Scott 24 who is married to Marisa!! We fill our "Empty Nest" with one cat Cosmo and our Boxers, Boston and Summer. I love to unwind after a long workday in my Craft Room making cards. I have been a Crafter since childhood. I love needle work, quilting, beading, but my favorite is paper crafting. Sketch Challenges are my latest passion. I love to share my take on the designs and to see the amazing work of others. I am so excited to be a part of the Design Team here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!

Hi, my name is Helen Plant.
I have been making cards now for about 13 years, I love every aspect of it.
Out of all the techniques I have tried ,I would probably say stamping
... whether it be actual stamps or digi stamps
... have to be my favourite, and colouring with alcohol markers.
I have made lots of friends through crafting ...  from the card making group I run and online.
I have really enjoyed creating my blog, the comments are just lovely,  and being part of DT teams is fabulous
- seeing what everyone else has thought up using the challenges put to them.
I just love to be part of the creative community!!!

"I taught 1st grade for 10 years before making the decision to become a stay at home mom. My boys are now 7 and 9. I started card making when my oldest was born … I thought it would save money. (Grin) Boy was I ever wrong! I love everything crafty: card-making, painting, scrap-booking, knitting, and quilting (tho I will admit that my knitting skills need some serious work!) I am addicted to lovely paper and have found that my obsessive love of the pretty works just as well with fabric and yarn and even gardening! I am really looking forward to working with all the talented artists at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!"

Welcome, Sally, Helen and Joanna!
We are so excited to have you as part of the SSW DT!

Next week Sally, Helen and Joanna
will delight you with their creations!

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

I live up in the High Desert away from the busy cities in the LA area, although they are all pretty accessable. Living in the desert has its extreme heat and extreme cold . It is getting pretty toasty here late in the summer too.  Here are a few pictures from my part of the world...
